nero info tool crashes help req

im using latest nero but when i try to use info tool it crashes it doesnt even finish seeing drives iv tried reinstalling nero but to no avail i did work but not now im trying to think what i may have done to corrupt it maybe and how i can repair it

have you checked your apsi layer ?! try reinstalling your ASPI layer with FORCE ASPI search the forum there are many articles on force aspi along with the files in a zip file

update your aspi layer to 4.60 as this is the most stable

ok iv downloaded two versions they are aspi_471a2 and forceaspi 1.7 iv tried different ways of doing it but it stil fails please a step by step procedure would help as i can see -Dumpaspi -Instaspi-Killaspi-Killdump-Restaspi also what exact files should be where just in case what i did was use kill aspi then rebooted and then did Instaspi and rebooted it still failed ugh help......i have feurio -clone cd -easy cd extractor installed
as well would any of them be corrupting it when i try to use neroinfo tool i get error say kernel 32.dll caused error in

Your error message indicates that you use Windows 9X or ME- and neither the info tool nor nero registry checker work well under 9X.

use dump aspi to backup your aspi layer incase of a problem ?!

then use instaspi to install the aspi layer

if you experience problems then use RESASPI to restore your previous settings

it messed up again although i did what was recommended over and over nero infotool crashes before it evn see the drives and a pop up appears saying infotool caused fault in kernel 32
i have the same nero on another machine running win98se without a problem and i can use infotool ok on it ok no crash
even the same version nero

Try uninstalling Nero and then run a reg cleaning tool to clear out any entries, then reboot and reinstall, i had probs with Nero and this worked for me, hope it works for you

i finally found out what was causing nero infotool to crash
after two formats and plenty of patience it was that i installed clone cd when it installs it asks do you want to install virtual drive
i ticked the boxs for full install then after install i tried nero info tool and it crashed then i uninstalled clone cd nd rebooted nero info worked perfectly however i reinstalled clone cd but didnt install the virtual drive option and tried nero infotool it worked
so it was the virtual drive install that killed nero infotool.......
