Nero eject problems

When I insert a DVD+R/RW into my DVD burner and go thur the motions with nero, when I get to the burn part, Nero ejects the disk and says " insert a blank medium". Nero is supposed to erase the data on the disk and then burn. Of course it is suppose to ask first if that is what I want to do, and I say yes and then it does and then burn. Is this a Nero or DVD burner problem ? Sometimes it will do it right and sometimes it won't. Sometimes it won't do it at all, and I get real tiffed and just walk away. Need HELP !

I do not have the answer to your question but when you get an answer will you please tell me cause we are having same problem,Iam new to all this copying and burning.I have an all in one cd/dvd writer and nero burning cd,
the films I wish to convert are divx or,svcds,
what I want to know is how to convert a divx into a dvd using nero? and also if you wanted to put two films together how would you do it (edit) or merge so as to put on a dvd.

i'm not sure but i thougt this was a bug in earlier Nero versions; you can get the latest free update there: http://www.nero.com/en/updates.html
