nero/dvdeasy

ChickenMan i used the dvdeasy as you suggested to solve the ff/rew problem a hay it worked but i`m not sure the quality is the same or is it just me. I personly think nero is a little simpler for a newbe / nero express. Do you think nero may resolve this issue in the future although i`m not that stressed as your tut makes it so easy, thank`s for all your hard work :)

Oh & does cdwin have any of these problems if not then perhaps
it would be just as well to create bin/cue ?

I've been using VCDEasy for the past month or so testing it in every way possible. Yes your right, it is abit harder to use then Nero to burn Cue/Bin files but the better results make it all worth it.

CDRWin natually can burn out cue/bin files but I find its stablity a bit thin. Had a few cases were pixelization introduced at the very spot I ran another program while I was burning burning. Not good, never a problem with VCDEasy.

The other features of VCDEasy makes it such an essential program for all MPG rippers, you should have it installed anyway so why use another program?

I understand Ahead has been contacted many times about the ff/rw problem, etc and as of date, they have not fixed it. Why wait, use something that works now.

Thanks for your reply i will percevere with vcdeasy it has to make sense some time, i`m trying to redo the svcd`s that i done with nero the ones that do not ff/rew is it poss with dvdeasy sorry for my ignorance still very new to me thank`s again

Not a problem.

Extract the AVSEQ01.MPG file off the CD with Isobuster (_www.isobuster.com), right click on the file and select "Extract but filter only M2F2 mpeg Frames", this will copy the file off the CD and save to HD as proper MPG file. Then load this into VCDEasy and go from there.

ChickenMan you are top of the range m8 i`m going to give this a go & see how i get on. By the way a m8 of mine has just bought a sony dvd player can`t remeber the type, so i took all the svcd`s i had made prior to your tut using vcdeasy & guess what !
ff/rew worked no prob`s. i think being fussy on what type of dvd player you buy is at a 4 Maybe someone may produce a list of dvd players that do one thing or another what do you think.

there was a section on this in the DVD section (for players that work with VCD/SVCD playback and such). Sorry I don't have the direct link to it but it is in there somewhere (just am lazy to do the search now lol).
I can say thought that pioneer DVD players seem to be a good choice (as they can play all types (dvd-r, vcd, svcd, cdrw, etc).
Sony and Aiwa products I generally tend to tell people to stay away from (as they tend to be very selective as to what they allow to playback).

I used Nero Vision Express and burned SVCD with no problems. Nero 5.5.9.9+MPEG2 plugin works just as well. I had problems with VCDEasy and used ASPI 4.7, then 4.6, but a no go. I'm sure VCDEasy is a very great program but this program doesn't like me, or my LG burner. Great tuts CM, keep up the great work :D
