Hi Ihave Nero 6.3.1.15 version and Toshiba SD-6012 DVD Burner. When I burn DVD-R discs it shows that the Burn process completed successfully but when I try to view the DVD it says ''Function Error''. I tried with data verification ....it shows disc burnt succesfully and then give error ''unable to load disc , Data verification error''

I am able to view all other DVD's and also DVD's burnt on other machines using NERO.

I have been burning the DVD's earlier successfully but now I am getting all this trouble. Can somebody help me...

please

Hi djinns, Welcome to our forum! :)

me thinks your problem is incompatible media; have a look at Toshiba's homepage for recommended DVD media brands; or try the always recommended Ritek G04;

this is an already reported bug; Nero 6 and Prassi's/Veritas's/Orlogix's/Sonic's PX-Engine won't coexist; the PX-Engine locks your drive, so Nero cannot access it after writing;
You have to decide, Nero or the other one!

don't use Nero's multisession feature for DVDs it's against all standards; your DVDs may be unusable at other machines;

my nero is the latest something 20

and i have tried every trick i know

also when trying to get it to go wrong on another disk to get a log file it will work but this is only 167 mb my other disks are 2 gig ish

can anyone help me?

ps i have just done a restore on the laptop and had to different xps running my time one and a bought copy

ps 2 i have managed to rescue the data using isobuster and cd roller i think they are on download.com

regards David

plain and simple MULTI SESSION DVDS suck don't bother trying to make MULTI SESSION dvds as they are MORE hassle than they are worth :(

just get yerself 4.7 gb of stuff together and burn as one complete single session much more reliable :)
