Nero burned VCD problem - HELP!

Hi.

I am have problems with Nero burnt VCD being unreadable. I use Neroburning 5.5.10.0 to burn a MPG file into VCD.

All went well during burning and verification passes with Nero, but when I tried to play the disc, all the video player s/w hanged.
I tried plugged the disc into a VCD player and it wouldn't load.

I had been able to use Nero to burn VCD without problems before switch from Win98 to Win2K professional as far as I can remember.

Would anyone out there has the same experience or there any special settings in Nero that I missed to enable for causing this?

My H/W & S/W configurations are:

IBM TP 600E
IOMEGA ZIP 650 USB
Win2K professional
Nero 5.5.10.0

Welcome to the forum.

So WinDVD or PowerDVD wount play them on the PC ? Is that what your saying?

Waht speed have you burnt them at and is this your first VCD your burnt or have others work okay in the past?

VCDEasy (from www.vcdeasy.org ) is another alternative to Nero for VCD's as well, worth checking out.

Yes, WinDVD won't play the disc.

The cd drives spinned up and squeaked when trying to access the disc. Sometimes the Windows explorer manage to display the contents and sometime it won't.

I had burnt VCD on the same notebook with Win98 and earlier versions of Neroburning. I believe I hadn't been successfully burnt andy VCDs since I switched to Win2K. Burning of data CD was never a problem though.
