Nero 6 multi-session mp3's lost?

ok, so maybe it was a dumb idea (knowing it doesn't exsist) but i tried to burn 5 additional mp3 files to a DVD-R disc that already stored 1000's of mp3 files i had backed up onto the disc previously.
it asked me if i was sure i wanted to do this because if i did the files already on the disc couldn't be "Viewed" in XP windows explorer anymore...i figured as long as they were still on there it's all ok.

it's not ok, it seems i can't find any way to retreive the 1000+ files on the disc, everything i've tried only reads the 5 lousy files i just burned...onto my supposed "multi-session".

i know it was dumb to even think i could pull this off, but what i want know now is....are all my files that were originally on this disc forever lost? is there a way to restore those files to my hard drive again?

You can use ISObuster (the registered version) to retrieve them.
DVD multisession was invented by some sadist coder of the Ahead/Nero team, it doesn't exist in any specification book, the DVD's burned do not comply to ANY known standard and the best you can do with that is NOT using "DVD-multisession". TAO-open instead is perfectly OK, usable anywhere and after the track is closed the disk is "almost" 100% standards compliant.
