Nero 6 and Windows XP - Help please !

I have just bought a PC with Windows XP (Home) and Nero 6 already installed. I am using a NEC DVD+R burner BUT when I try to copy my MP3s onto CD-R with Nero 6 it only gets to 3-4% and then the PC crashes.

I checked Nero's site & they say it's bad media, power or drive. Which is BS as I can copy using Windows Media player on this media.

Any ideas would be appreiciated before I call the company that sold me the PC & give them some grief.

You will likely get some sort of support from Ahead.
In fact they are the only ones that might have a vague idea about what is going wrong with their commercial prebeta release.
