Nero 5590 and 1:1 copy => not enough space?

If I want to make a 1:1 copy of 697 mb data to a 700 mb cd, I get the message of not enough space. If I do the same but then with CDROM (ISO), there is no problem. This method takes but too much time.

Go with joripe's advice...1:1 copies are better with CloneCD. Nero might be adding bits to the header and screwing the copy up.

Clone should do it without problem, as you have 3mb's of slack space. But if it complains, try to overburn the CDR. Many modern burners support overburning (I could point you to a proggie if you dont know)...if it's necessary that is.

@ dxkim NERO supports overburn :D its in the preferences its down to the burner in question here but if its bought in the last year or so then i would say it would almost definately overburn :D

Yup...it sure does. But for 1:1 copies (like hteunissen wants) Clone is just better...especially if the disc has copy protection.

The problem is caused by my Plex 40TS. For some reason Nero has a problem with that drive. On the forum at CDFreaks there are more people with the same problem.

Nice drive! Yeah, Nero is notorious for these strange drive bugs. That is why I gave it up a long time ago. EAC for audio, WinISO with Burnatonce for files and images, and CloneCD for 1:1 game copies are all I ever need for burning now.
