Nero 5.5.7.xx to 5.5.10.xx

Have been using nero 5.5.7.xx to burn my DVD's. Everything was working well until I got the bright idea that newer must be better. I installed the latest version of nero (10.28) and it will recognise a blank DVD, but will not start any write functions. always says to insert a blank disk. Yet disk info shows an empty disk loaded with 4.7G available.

Deinstalled and reloaded 5.5.7.x and everything worked fine again. I tried both 10.20 and 10.28. both had the same symptom. What could be so different between 5.5.7 and 5.5.10 in my system to cause this. i didn't change anything else other than the newer version of nero.

There is no safe suggestion for Nero. The program is totally buggy and unpredictable.
If 5.5.7.x works why do you want to upgrade?

i find that 5.5.9.0 is more stable than any other tried every build after and had loads of problems went back to 5.5.9.0 :)

Thanks...

I loaded 5.5.9.17 and it worked Ok. Came right up with no problems. Can't understand why 5.5.10.XX won't work. At least 9.17 adds DVD Video support which 5.5.7.X didn't.

I know this wont help you with Nero but.....

I have still yet to have a single DVDR coaster using Stomp RecordNow MAX! I am using an A05 and have tried just about every disc dye variation on the market and still I can't get a failure.

Change is not always a bad thing some times, Nero and DVD burning between the different versions of 5.5 seems to be so hit and miss there is no way I would consider using it with the price of blank DVDR's being what they are.

I agree with Laz <<>> Record Now Max Is the BEES KNEES when it comes to burning your AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders to your DVDR Try it U wont use nero for DVD burning again Trust Me!!!!
