Jeez, this has been asked and discussed (not answered) hundreds of times.
What do you want to do with your CD Writer?
Copy games?
CloneCD, BlindWrite Suite & CDMate
Compile CDs of various types? (as well as copying etc)
Nero, Vob Instant CD/DVD, NTI CD-Maker Pro, Padus DiskJuggler, CDMate, CDRWin 3.8/4 and some others.
Audio?
Feurio and some others.
They all do these various tasks and some do certain tasks better, easier or worse than the others.
There is no Holy Grail of CD Writing applications. But there is a terrible program called Roxio Easy CD Cremator which has to be the worst piece of shit you could install on your machine.
Beware of CDRWin 5.0 - it's a new product which has effectively stolen the respected name of CDRWin from GoldenHawk. It's a terribly flawed program, maybe it will be okay in 6 months, maybe not - but it's worth keeping away from for the time being.

I know poko would be upset if you didn't include fantomCD for copying protected CDs =).
Not sure about CDMate, all you would really need is CloneCD or FantomCD or DiscJuggler or BlindWrite.
Then Nero & NTI & maybe 1 or 2 others best options for master suites.

Too true, but I wasn't attempting to list everything. Just showing that there isn't an all round best CDR app. The question itself is flawed, it's almost like asking which religion is the best - you're not going to get some magic answer!
BTW, CDMate is supposedly rather effective at copying most protected discs (so I hear). Copying games isn't something I do much of but I just notice other people's comments.
