So Is There A Proggy Or A Way On How I Can View The Free I/O & IRQ Etc..

I'll Appreaciate It For Your Help...

erm read the whole website as per denexo's post it tells you there !? :)

alternatley remap the irq's manually in device manager until you find a working combination .

or shutdown take out and remove the pci device thats causing the problem and then allow windows to configure the ISA device then shut down and refit the pci device and allow windows to reallocate its IRQ :)

Hi Guy's..

First Like To Thank For Your Help..
But Is There Another Program Like That With A GUI Maybe Windows Friendly..

Ciao

Can you use BIOS to reserve IRQ5 for ISA ?

What BIOS, what card - some Network cards have a setup tool that switches them between hard config, soft config, or plug & play.

Sometimes, a difficult config can be resolved by disabling "Plug & Play OS" in BIOS - then the BIOS configures all devices, for a P&P OS, BIOS only configures devices required for booting.

Other suggestions, clear the ESCD in BIOS (this may reshuffle resources, and MAY require the device driver files to be available for windows to reassign them).

Another thought... is there a chipset driver update with an "IRQ routing" patch?

reinstall XP in "Standard PC" mode and not in "ACPI", then you are able to assign the IRQs manually in Windows' device manager;
