I am having troubles Copying a full feature VHS tape to a DVD. I need software to burn 3 folders (AUDIO_TS, JACKET_P and VIDEO_TS) from my hard disk to a DVD. Is any software around to do this, if so where could I get it? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,

Any Good burning s/ware will do that (but I've no idea what the JACKET_P is <> most DVD's only have the 2 other folders))
I Use Recordnow max others Nero or a freebie Burnatonce.

But are the files compressed to less than 4.7 gig if not u need to compress check out the Tuitorials first.

I have checked the tuitorials and didn't find anything on compressing the files to fit on a 4.7GB DVD and that is my problem.

You obviously have to capture the VHS to your PC. If you save it out as an AVI then you missed this tutorial http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=25572 , check it out. You also only need the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders.

ChickenMan,
Appearently I am missing something don't know what yet, but here goes. I used ADAPTEC VIDEOh! DVD Video converter kit - USB 2.0 Edition to capture my VHS feature length movie to my HDD, But it won't let me burn to DVD-r or DVD-RW, because the captured movie is a little bigger than 4.7GB. disk. This is why I need to compress the movie to make it fit on one DVD 4.7GB. When I capture the movie it saves it to HDD as VOB files in a folder called VIDEO_TS and I think it may be MPEG-2, because on the box it is printed MPEG-2 encoding hardware for best performance. ADAPTEC uses MyDVD software by Sonic.
I hope this has made my intentions a bit clearer.
Thanks ,

Simply use DVD Shrink to then compress the VOB files within the VIDEO_TS folder. It will shrink them to fit to a std 4.37gig DVDR, then just burn them out with Nero, RNM, etc Check out this Tute as it explains how to use DVD Shrink and burn your DVDR http://www.dvdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=31155
:) :) :) :)
ChickenMan,
I'm sorry for getting back so late, but I would like to extend my THANKS TO YOU for helping me out with my project as I can now transfer my VHS tapes to DVD-R. :) :) :) :) Hope you have a nice THANKS GIVING.
Thanks Again,
