need help with the dvd split

hello ,
i have a problem with the stand alone dvdplayer ,
i wanted to burn blackhawk down , so because its a big movie and i cant burn it on 1 disc i splited it using ifoedit , and then burn disc1 and it was good , but after finishing burning disc2 the dvdplayer said : no disc.
why ?


i did both disc 1 and 2 get vts sector.

please help

You should used DVD-RW disc to try your dvd player. It will save you cost. What I use is DVDXCopy v1.30. Only 3 steps. That's all. The software will auto split the 2nd disc. :D

please anybody
someone must know what to do its driven me crazy, i also tried many ways of burning with dvd-rw and couple of time i succeeded so gladly i burn the same files (im talking about part 2) and when i put them on the dvd player nothing ... again no disc , the thing is like i said with part 1 i dont have any problems.

god . . . please anybody i have the dvd-r for couple of month and im not able to burn disc because all the bullshits around the movie
first i said i want the movie on 1 disc so i tried to reencode them but that also made me some problem so now i said ok 2 disc for 1 movie but still problems hhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeelllllllllppppppppp.

I had same problem but could not even burn a disk so I used instant cd/dvd to burn disk and they plays perfect.

realy need help - split the dvd to 2

i have big problem and i realy need help.
i want to burn pear harbor and im using with the ifoedit in order to split the dvd to 2 and then burn each part on different dvd.
i already done it with to movie and it come out fine , but this time my dvd dont want to accpet the disc i get the message : no disc, with both part.
this is how i work , after ripping the movie i split them with ifoedit and copy the to video_ts files to each part , then to each part i open the ifo's file and press get vts sector.
after that i open nero and burn the video_ts directory .
as i said before it worked for me with 2 movies but not now please help,
i also tried to use dvdxcopy but i get the message of error reading source drive (i think it some kind of defense) please help me and if anyone know how to do it in my way please suggest according to that .

p.s.
i dont want to use the guide with the cce and all the reencode way.

Add a AUDIO_TS folder to the discs when you burn....
Make sure the folder is in all CAPS and empty....

Also, when you split to 2 dvd-r's are you changing the chapter numbers for each disc?
If you don't get the chapter numbers correct for each disc, it WILL NOT PLAY....

BG1 - thanx for your reply u the first one who answer me about this question and i try long time.

- ill try with the AUDIO_TS directory though i thinking i tried it once or twice in the past.
now i didnt understand to what number i need to change , and as i said before i already burn 2 movies that i didnt changed anything so i dont know about that .

thanx to you all about your advise with letting the movie run first, anyway i burn the first part and when i put it in the dvd again i get message of no disc .
i realy start thinking ill never be able to burn movies , and the ones i succeded was just luck.

1. what do you mean about try dvdx copy again , do the same ? if thats what you mean what will be the different ?
2. there is a lot of guide about the ifo edit , i tried the one regarding the split it worked with 2 out of 3 so far ( the 3 is the one that im tring right now)
what guide exaclly do you mean ? can you put me a link ?

if dvdx gives u an error then play the dvd for a few seconds and then shut down the player.
This can "unlock" your drive and give the rip program access.
