Need help with Shrek R2 problem.

Hi there!!!

Backing up Shrek dvd on region 2 pal to vcd pal. I ran it through dvd2avi to extract a d2v and sound...but dvd2avi said it was 20.000fps! ? am i missing something? anyway i ran it in tmpgenc as a 25.00fps template pal vcd. I Encoded a minute of and when i played it quality was good but the picure stuttered a little.
any idea peeps?

Plus i also wanted to know...can i encode an anormorphic dvd to vcd as it is (stretched up)..so that my widescreen tv can play the vcd and resixe the pic to 16:9.

Two possibilities:

- normally you have wrong video setting in dvd2avi
Select in video - field operation - 'none' for all PAL movies.
Then you have 25 fps.
You did select 'Force FILM' which is only for NTSC ...


- second (rare) possibility: you have a wrong dvd2avi version. There was nearly a year ago a french version (but in english of course) which had a 20fps bug.


Oh overread the other question:
Simply make your full 720x576 d2v and resize (f.e. within tmpeg) to 352x288.
Set it to '4:3 Display' at video tab and '4:3 625 line (PAL)' under advanced tab.
