Need Help Ripping and Burning Movies PLEASE!

I would just like to say I am new here and think this is a great Forum..

I just got a Emprex DVD +- RW for XMAS.

Is there a way I can get a decryted movie opened in DVDXCopy so that it will burn? It hasn't been working so iv been using DVD Decrypted. But It won't be able to compress movies when I need to. Also I tried DVD Shrink and I wasn't to happy with it. So far the only thing thats been doing good is DVD Decrypter.
