Need Help Restoring nero 6 backup....

hey everyone...i'm wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me...ok lets get started. I had my Hard Drive partitioned into two, my C and K drives.My C drive contained my Operating System and my K drive contained my music and other files i wanted to keep. I ran Nero 6 back up and backed up my K drive using 2 DVD-RWs. I reformatted my Hard Drive and reinstalled windows. I tried to do a restore in Nero 6 but the program is looking for nbi. files and the files on my DVD-RWs are dat. files and other files including an nrestore.exe file. I ran this and it brought up a dos window, i tried to run it but it gave me an error saying operation failed. I tried a method i found in this forum, putting the exe. and eng. file on a floppy and botting using a 98 bootdisk. but still no luck. I am desperatly trying to get the files back .....if there is anyone who can help i appreciate it...Thanks...HELP PLEASE???

try this link here i wrote a short guide :)

just make sure you restore to the correct drive as any errors cannot be rectified later if you restore to the wrong drive then thats it game over :( a full reinstall is needed :(

the drives will be recognised in nrestore by file size just note down in windows how large they are approx and look for this in nrestore to see what to restore to :)

still having problems

hey there again... i tried that method but the restore program does not want to recognize the DVD-RW.. i see the drive but it says its not ready... i tried ejecting it and putting it back in but it keeps says Fail, Ignore, Retry. it cant read the DVD...WHY???.....HELP.... :confused: :confused:
