need Help please

Hi Folks

Wondering if anyone could give my mate any help....

she has just bought a NEC_Nd1300 (4x)in replacement for my old 2x writer.

Eveytime she used Nero Express "Copy entire disc" it goes right through the process of the master dvd the asks for the Blank dvdr. when she put it in, it comes up with a Burn Process Failed Error.

she has also tried other programs

she has tried 4 differnet dvds now but no luck.

Anyone help please e-mail me(through profile) or post on here.

well personally i dont use a dvd burner
could u provide us more info?like make of ur dvd-r ,nero /burn tool version,os
did u have any apps running in the background?try disabling any background apps & AV esp if its norton Av ;)
hopes zat helps ;)

Her dvd writer is a NEC ND-1300 the software she is using is Nero 6 on win xp pro

She had no apps runinng at the time and also disabled her virus stuff?

ask her to try LAZ's totally free solution to dvd burning here http://cdrbase.com/showthread.php?t=31155 :)

everything is free all you need/she needs to do is follow it step by step and get the free tools from the sites linked in that tutorial :)

Also advise her to buy a DVDRW (re writable dvdr) to practice with as this will safe money by teh fact you can burn and erase and reburn over and over untill its perfect :)

Is the NEC jumpered the same as the old 2x burner on the same cable (as Master, preferably with no other drive on the cable)?

Great advice VIPER-I always do this (but with a CDRW,I only own a CDR burner)before any project I embark upon... :) :)
