need help converting pal dvd's to ntsc.

i am wanting to convert my pal dvd's to ntsc. i have tried tmpgenc dvd source creator but when i get done with it the movie has no sound ( it did before) also my burning software does not recognize it because the video ts folder is no longer there just one long mpeg2 movie file. any ideas on what softwarei need to convert to pal to ntsc and still keeps it a video ts file. thanks for the help.

TMPGEnc always produces a MPEG file and never a VIDEO_TS folder. You then take that MPG file and author it in TMPGEnc DVD Author, that makes the VIDEO_TS folder. Unless you have an AC3 Codec installed, you will not hear any audio when trying to play the MPG file.

every time i encode my pal dvd movie with tmpgenc dvd source creator my movie has no sound. i thought i installed the ac3 filter audio codec but this still happens. unless i have the wrong audio codec. how do i find this out? gspot didn't do dvd files. i have rencoded this same movie three times and it still has no sound. could it be i am doing something wrong? movie will play correctly before i rencode with tmpgenc dvd source creator. if you need more info from me let me know. thanks.

TMPGEnc is not my choice of mpeg2 encoder, but the normal TMPGEnc doesnt handle AC3 audio, so not sure if Tmpgenc dvd Source Creator does either.

gspot didn't do dvd files
Get the new Gspot 2.5 beta1, it now checks VOB & mpeg files.

It's just so much easier to just get an Asian standalone that plays PAL. They can be had for about $40 these days. My JVC player will also do PAL as long as it's region free.
