need codec info please help

I need to find out what codecs i have installed on my pc and weather they are installed correctly or if there casuing problems. does anyone know of an app that can tell me this info.

win2k sp4 and getting many errors

Hi flyby2001!

you can check what codecs you have installed with 2k itself, i am uncertain how the correct translation is so i guess my way through

go to systemcontrol ?
-> sounds and multimedia
-> hardware tab
-> videocodecs
-> Properties
-> Properties tab
now you have a list of all video codecs that are correctly registrered with your windows

You might also want to try GSpot , on its 'view' menu , you find installed codecs, there you can see your installed audio or video codecs aswell, btw program is free
