NEC 1100A NOT burning CDR

Hi,

I have built in a NEC 1100A DVD burner (+R). For some reason it won't burn any CD. Using NERO the buffer gets filled, and when the burner wants to write, it freezes and won't proceed.

Anybody any idea ?

Try another media brand and another burning application.

Media is TDK (should be oke); have tried other burnerapps, same result.

Searched the web. Someone suggested to go from DMA to PIO....!??

TDK media are stamped, not original- so satisfaction is not guaranteed.
And you should not switch from DMA to PIO (not for that burner anyway- fully DMA compatible) unless you now your device interface layer (ASPI or whatever) is screwed.

I have the same problem with Nero 6.0; but I'm using Fuji DVD+Rs...What media comes highly reccomended?

NOT using the buggy Nero 6 sounds pretty sensible...
