my new dvd writer pioneer 106

well my first question is how to connect it i have a giga 8IRXP board with raid i have 2 80 gig wd 1 liteon cdr writer and a liton dvdrom
i want to keep my dvdrom to rip from as i dont want to use my new writer as a reader
sooooo where do i put my 106 into?
No 2 what is the best software for backing up my dvd's , iwant i to only have 1 dvd per movie
No 3 will my new writers can holder hold a plastic bottle or will it break it when it goes back inside the writer

This is my setup..I have a A7V333 w/Raid..but I have a Lumberjack Bio's and my Raid IDE's are UDMA 133.

Primary IDE
Maxtor ATA 133 80g Master
Plextor PX-504A DVD +R/RW Slave

Secondary IDE
Yamaha CRW-F1E 44x24x44 Master
LiteOn 166S DVD Rom Slave


Raid/UDMA IDE
Primary IDE
Maxtor ATA 133 80g Master
NO SLAVE....

Secondary IDE
Maxtor ATA 133 80g Master
Maxtor ATA 133 40g Slave

I Write Images to the Raid/UDMA Drives....and have the DVD ROM and Plextor 504A on seperate IDE's

1. As jroc above. Put your 2 HD's on the Raid (bootable one as Master on Primary) 2 burners on one m/b IDE and the DVD-ROM on the other.

2. Best software is what works for you. Suggest you read other peoples comments in various posts here first and read a few Tutorials. That will tell the streangths and weaknesses of all the software available.

3. Your new can holder will defenitely screw a plastic bottle :D

use clone dvd and anydvd, both made by the same company to copy dvd's and nero 6 to create dvd's, thats what i use !
