my IDE CDRW Drive is being recognized as SCSI???

I have a PlexWriter 1210A And a Abit TH7II RAID MB
I'm running WinMe on my system

Before installing Intel Application Accelerator on my system I never had any trouble with burning, but after I install the IAA (I needed it so my HardDrive would run on UDMA-5 speed) Nero would always give me a SCSI Target Error Message
And my writer is not even a SCSI one
can someone help me with this?

Nonstandard IDE drivers often result in it appearing to be SCSI.

With a RAID motherboard, I would be inclined to put the HD on the RAID controller - it should be able to run one drive only in non-raid mode - and that would be under different controllers, probably Highpoint or Promise.

your problem is the intel accelerator...what your solution was to get udma is either a controller driver update and a bio's update....was the HD recogized by the Bios as UDMA5..if not..then thats your problem.
