Mutliplexing Help needed

Ripped dvd using smartripper, frameserved using dvd2avi and vfapi convertor, encoded video using CCE encoder 2.50.
I now have 2 files that I need to multiplex
a - The video file encoded with CCE And
b - The audio file generated with dvd2avi (AC3 T01 2_0ch192kbs 48khz)
My problem is I can get neither BBmpg or Tmpeg to recognize the audio file,I read that the audio file needs to be 48-44.1 khz so
I think I need to downsample but how do I do it?
and is there any way of getting dvd2avi to generate this filesize instead of (AC3 T01 2_0ch192kbs 48khz) from the start?
Or do I ave to change(AC3 T01 2_0ch192kbs 48khz) to another format?.
Or as (prob ) am I way of the mark
Any help appreciated

Perhaps the key factor here is, make sure your dvd2avi installed in the same folder as TMPGEnc (dump it in there *not have dvd2avi in its own folder), otherwise TMPGEnc won't recognize it.
*this is probably the problem

otherwise maybe try not using the CCE with it?
Also the audio in dvd2avi should be set to :
dolby digital: decode
mpeg audio: demux
48->41: off
then you save as project (not as avi).

Hope that helps, otherwise am sure ChickenMan himself will give you a better response (correct any errors I have made).

First of all you make no reference if your making VCD's or SVCD's or any other variation. What your making would help !

Secondly, I suggest you read the DVD to VCD and the DVD to SVCD tutorials in the Movies Tutorial section, most of your questions are answered there.

I will assume your making SVCD's. You can only Multiplex an *.MP2 (or MPA) audio file directly to the Video file. Both the VCD and SVCD specs ask for audio to be in MP2 (MPA) format. Again you list your audio file name but not included the extension! DVD2AVI if following the tutorials will produce a WAV file, then use BeSweet or TMPGEnc itself to convert these to MP2 format. If its an AC3 audio file then use BeSweet also to convert to MP2 format.

Then the 2 files will be able to be Multiplexed togetter using bbMPEG with no probs.

One problem however, if you did not downmix the audio from 48 to 44.1, then if you burn the multiplexed file with Nero, it will reject it saying not compliant. The SVCD spec asks for 44.1 audio. However, if you use VCDImager to make a bin/cue image, then CDRWIn will burn it without a problem.

The simplest solution is to also use DVD2SVCD to make your SVCD (with CCE) and eliminate all your hassles for you as it is so automatic in its operation.
