Musicmatch issues

I've downloaded musicmatch plus 8.1 but aren't able to burn cd-r. Program goes through all the processes but finished media does playback or file is garbled and jumps around. Commercial cd's won't play through MM either. Player indicates track playing but no sound yet if I record CD to hard drive first using MM, track will play fine from there! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

first of all, MM isn't recommendable, really pure in audio quality;
i would uninstall it completely and install EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de); it's the best choice for ripping, encoding and reburning audio files; try the search button in our forum, you will find lots of threads about;

could be an incompatible media (try Intenso's) or to high burning speed (4x is good for audio);

Commercial cd's won't play through MM either.

Did you connect your drive to your soundcard? Or as alternative did you enable "Digital Playback"?
Did you activate the related audio source in Windows' Sound control panel?
