VHS copies of the Spider-Man movie include a 30 second clip featuring highlights for the new series. We get a look at the new animated designs for Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson, Harry Osborn and, of course, Spidey! Lots and lots of Spidey!
The webslinger himself looks like a nice blend of the comic and movie designs. Strangely, the other characters look a bit different from their previous incarnations, be they comic or film.
Sony has been hard at work bringing a new vision of Spider-Man to the small screen. Sony has been producing, along with CGI house Mainframe, and Marvel a new CGI animated Spider-Man series. The show will be airing at the 10 spot on MTV sometime in the near future.
Audu Paden is Producing, David Hartman is designing the characters, and Ultimate Spider-Man Scribe Brian Michael Bendis is also involved creatively. Doogie Howser himself Neil Patrick Harris will be providing the voice of the Webhead, and Mary Jane will be voiced by songstress Lisa Loeb.
