mpeg2 incompatible

Hi :)

I'm Trying to join two SVCD Mpeg2's. But one seems to be incompatible with the other, as reported by TMPEnc. I think there's a difference in bitrate.
Both are 480x480 NTSC.
Would it be a case of rencoding? If so, how and what software could i use?

Thanxxx
Emma

Thanxxx mojo :)
Tried the prog and like it's name sake, an easy video joiner, even for someone like me to use.
However, the join was far from perfect when compared to mpeg-vcr. Never the less I will persevere as I've many SVCD's I would like to put on DVD.
I know some would recommend not joining, and authoring as two separate movies instead. This I've tried too, and call me a perfectionist if you like, but the link from one to the other is noticable.
Now, when you look at avi cutting and joining with say, Nandub, it's perfection everytime....that's what I want with mpeg2. A girl doesn't ask for a lot in life! :D :D

I've also used VIRTUALDUB to join AVI's - not too sure if it will do the same for MPEG's but its worth a try - it's also a very good tool for checking the quality of AVI's before encoding !!
