mpeg to dvd problem

have converted 2 mpeg files to dvd format using nero but all the audio is out of synchow can i get it back in sync. I normally use The FilmMachine to convert but that only does avi files. Can i change mpeg to avi and if so what program do i require or is there an easier way of doing it.

you could try burning without converting if it is to be played in settop dvd player, a lot of them will play mpeg
