MPEG compressor

Is there any utility to reduce the size of a .mpeg file???
I have a .mpeg file which is 950MB and I want to make it 650-700MB to fit in a cd..

quickest way would be to cut it in the middle and burn to 2 cds

other than that it would need re-compressing either to another format or mpeg again but changing its dimensions in size in height/width etc

To recompress you could use Xing mpeg encoder or like viper_1069 said you can split the file for this you could try TMPEGEncoder
