mp3's on dvdr

hi all,
maybe a stupid question but here it goes
i have a large collection of mp3's is there any chance you could put these on a dvdr
i.e 4 discs of mp3's on 1 dvdr

Welcome mate ....

hmm...yeah it is possible... u can store up to 4489mb of data on DVD-R ...
The only problem is:
I tested my "MP3DVD" with a standalone DVDPlayer but it wasn´t able to play it .... I think he didn´t expect Mp3s on DVD ...

maybe other players r able to do the job ;)

1. I burn them with Nero 5.5.8.2 --> DVD DATA
2. This player also plays MP3s ...but not from DVD ...only CD/R

Yes is correct... the operation of a standalone Multi-System Player currently Plays: DVD/VCD/CD-R/CD & maybe MP3

but they have limitations on what can be played back...

-these are MP3 can be copied to either CD or DVD format, with the limitation that MP3/VCD/AUDIO is on CD format where the laser is doesn't need to be corrected, MP3 is currently only playback-able in CD format...

-the DVD function is primarily for DVD Movie playback Only (now you can get DV-AUDiO but i yet have seen that kick off).
& the laser fuction would switch to the correct format and focus on it's D-Video playback... sounds ghay!? thats what i said...

so keep burning either way... just remember your P.C. Is the ultimate Multi-System player...!:D

hmm.. I never produced DVDAUDIO ... but I know that only few standalone players r able to play them ...

Most standalone dvd players only recognise a max of 256 mp3 files.:)

Dvd audio is a completely different format and most players cant play it unless specifically stated.

I tried it with only ten ... and it didn´t work ...

btw. why is there a limit @256 ?

I'm talking cd mp3 here.
I dont know why but I've been checking punters manuals for them when they ask about compatability and quite often 256 files are mentioned.
Maybe its memory? I know the file tree can affect compatability.
Ie better d:\mp3 than d:\folder\folder\mp3.

thanks for all your help.
i put 6 cd's full of mp3's on a dvdr (bulkpaq) using the new version of discjuggler,works o.k on my pc but with no luck on my standalone dvd player

Hi there,
Most standalone players which supports MP3 does not play mp3-dvd's. I haven't heard of any.
My player supports SACD, which is just an audio cd in dolby 5.1
Heard such a CD once..... Incredible :eek:
Have no clue how to create that.. but it's hard to record i guess

no I don´t think thats just a normal Audio CD just with 5.1 ... it´s a special disc I think ...

yeh, i read it..
Not a normal disc no, it is specially formatted...
dunno what format, but normal cd-players cannot read it.

mp3 dvdr

i have a cyberlink 528 which can play and see around 400 mp3's burned onto a dvdr using nero + ao3 pioneer,but ti can't see the rest,but i mainly use dvdr mp3 for storage or pc play back thru amp.some one gave me a rumour about a dvd mp3 player made in korea?i think by pine?

hmm... ok..seems like that some players support it ... so the best methode is .... burn your mp3s to DVD-RW .. and try every DVD standalone @your local dealer ;)
