mp3 encoder

im looking for a quality mp3 encoder for quality results rather than fast encoding.

im using the one on soundforge 6 at the mo, is this any good or are there better ones around ?

Lame does it for me and from what I've seen it is reckoned to be the best.

EAC doesn't rip "copy protected" music cds. it keeps giving me tracking errors with my cd rom.

nero extracts the tracks fine. i use lame mp3 encoder.

RazorLame is the front end mp3 encoder for LAME and it's free to download a copy go to this site http://www.dors.de/razorlame/index.php

EAC also uses Lame without lame EAC can not make mp3s

EAC rips fine the protected audio CD's (with capable hardware), if you place the right settings.
If you cant do with C2 boxes ticked on, simply try burst mode (which is the only one available on Nero).
