Mp3 cd's

I am using Audio Grabber 1.81 to grab Audio Cds and convert them to MP3. I have some problem with the MP3 CD's, on a stand alone VCD/MP3 player. They sometimes skip from 1 to 17 or 20 directly.

I am using an ACER 16x10 writer and use Prassi S/w and write them on 16x. The CD'R used are Imation, can some one tell me whats wrong

first check to make sure the mp3s work on your pc fine, then I would also suggest you lower your burning speed from 16X down to 2X or 4X, no higher than that.

Some (including DVD players that play mp3s or VCDs) VCD & MP3 players that read discs, can't read at speeds that are burned too high.
Another problem could be the Prassi software. Perhaps try using Nero or something else, but more than likely it is your burn speeds are too high.

*I know many will also tell you to change from Audiograbber to something like EAC*

If you want quality MP3's, rip off CD using EAC ( w*w.exactaudiocopy.com ) as WAV and convert to MP3 using RazorLame (h**p://www.dors.de/razorlame/ ).

Then burn to CDR at 4x using Prassi and then your MP3 player should not have any further problems. If they still occur, try a different brand of CDR.
