Mozilla Thunderbird for Windows 0.3 Alpha

Well betanews.com has announed the release of the above... 25 Sept 2003

Mozilla Thunderbird is a redesign of the Mozilla mail component. The goal is to produce a cross platform stand alone mail application using the XUL user interface language. The intended customer is someone who uses Mozilla Firebird (or another stand alone browser) as their primary browser and wants a mail client based on mozilla that "plays nice" with the browser.

Changes in Mozilla Thunderbird for Windows 0.3 Alpha:
A *huge* performance win for IMAP over broadband
Thunderbird no longer spell checks the 'reply text' in mail compose
Thunderbird no longer spell checks signatures
There is now UI in Account Settings / Addressing & Composition to allow those of you that want your signatures to be inserted before the quoted reply if you so choose
Thunderbird took Neil's Mozilla Mail fix to support Mark Read By Date
You can now mark a folder as read via the folder pane context menu.
