I have converted divx-dvd using chickenmans divx-dvd advice and also burnt the dvds. When playing them in my dvd player the films run fine until they get to the last 15-20 minutes of the movie where they start to break up and then totally freeze. This has happend with 3 seperate movies and they all play fine untill this point can you throw me any advice to resolve this problem thanks.

Thanks for the response, the media i am using is bulkpaq DVD-R 4xspeed 4.7gig
Well I still say use that program because some bulkpaq are good and some are crap. I don't know cause I never used that media but thats what I find at dvdrhelp. So we still need to know the media code.:)
Also I moved your thread because I belive it to be a media problem and not a DIVX problem.:)

Thats it.:) From what members say PRINO are garbage and they can cause the problems you are having. You may want to try some RITEK. :)

burn less

you can still save the ones you have bought by limiting the burning capacity to 4 giga. you might even get away with 4.2 giga. seems you are having a bad spread problem. I did that with a bunch of AN32 i got cheap and that saved the day.

Oh! how I envy you guys. Getting Ritek G04 in israel is impossible. The only "reasonably" priced fair discs i've seen in israel are verbatim data life plus (MCC) at about 2.4 USD/unit. I'm going to India next week and hope I can get some decent discs at a reasonable price.

PRINCO labels disks are bad enough, but the Bulkpak labelled stuff is their B or C grade crap. The results you have are unfortunatelythe result of crappy media. Try burning them at 2x or even 1x can solve your playback problems untill you can buy some decent media.
