movie and sound out of sync

Not shure if this is the right area but here it goes anyway.
Recently I got a dvd for my puter.
My system is celeron 600mhz
512 meg ram + Soundblaster live 5.1 using kx drivers
Software = power dvd 4
and dvd idle 1.31
I'm not losing frames anymore thanx to dvdidle.
But every movie I watch is out of sync with the sound.
Anybody got any ideas?
Or do i need a new mobo and cpu? ( i know i need one but want to wait a while and hopefully watch a few dvd's while i wait)

Any help would be much apreciated.

regards
raje

your PC should be ok, but the video card is what I would question.
Settings in PowerDVD are default at Hardware Acceleration. You can try unticking that (in configuration>video) but also I would check to see that your DVD-ROM drive is set to DMA & not PIO.
Depending on your OS there will be slightly different methods to this, but these have been discussed recently in the hardware section.
Good luck ( & you shouldn't need to use dvd idle).
Hope that helps.

PS
what OS & what is your graphics card?

Graphics is the problem.
It's onboard tnt2 32meg (piece of shite)
OS is windows xp pro and i had a look in the bios for the dma setting. Think i found it there couldn't find it in xp.
Thanks for your reply

DMA is enabled (bummer that)
Must be onboard graphics that is the problem.
Havn't even got an agp slot.
Last time I buy an all in one board.
Thanks anyway shadoe_phantom.
