More things to know about Sony DRU 500A

Since the latest LiteOn's cache audio data, and thus are very slow,I decided to setup the Sony properly (in a sort of way:D)for audio ripping with EAC,to find out if it's faster......
Wiched I had done it earlier.....boy,what a waste of time,I did all audioripping with the LiteOn's I have....
The speed results on this picture are from ripping an original cd,but ripping a copy of another cd shows no major speed differences.I tested it with several originals, and speeds remain +/- the same.....
The cd's are ripped in secure mode, not in burst mode.......I know that maybe some of you get higher speeds in secure mode, but on my Athlon 800,this is the highest speed I ever got,the Sony even beats my Ultraplex 40X SCSI!!!! As for ripping protected audio, this is partially solved by disabling autorun in the registry, disabling it @ the drive's properties was a no-go...now it can read Key2Audio and it can rip CDS200 from the 2nd track(ripping from the 1st makes the system freeze here;))
