Missing Files during Installation

Hey,
I just got a new Motherboard/cpu/ram and Video card. I got a MSI648f-neo MB, Intel 3.0 ghz/800mhz fsb, with 1 gig of 6 layer pc 3200 ram dual channel 400mhz, and a GeForce 5900 128 mb card. I hooked everything up and put in my win2k installation CD to install my OS. It started up normal and went through the normal installation steps, after starting to copy the files needed for installation, it got to around 70-75% and it would say file not found. I did retry and sometimes it would find it and go on. Anyways I wrote down the missing files and tried again, the same thing happened, but it wasn't the same files missing. I tried about 4 times and nothing worked, after reformatting each time. I removed the HD and put it back in my old computer, an AMD 1800+ 1.5 ghz. I went through the installation and it installed everything fine, thats how I'm writing this msg right now. Anyone have any idea why with the one board, it won't fully install? also noticed a few times after rebooting without the boot cd in it would say NTLDR file missing. Any suggestions would be great. if you are installing from a backup of the pressed 2000 CD it may well be that the CD-ROM you use to install does not like the media inserted (having reading issues).

faulty/overclocked/overstrained/incompatible RAM at your new board, could also cause such problems;

Erase your harddrive completely,zerofill it with it's manufacturer's tool before formating and installing it in your new rig....
