Microsoft Word - language support?

I'm using Word 2000 - part of the 2000 Premium Edition. Can someone tell me how to apply european letters to a word. I thought I had installed all the correct language support.
..
bjork and
..
dusseldorf for example.

thanks.

Sorry i have the german version

perhaps: extras/language/ set language

general rule in word is . . .

press CTRL + "punctuation key representing accent", release, press letter

so . . .

Ü is CTRL + : then U
Ú is CTRL + ' then U
Ù is CTRL + `then U
Û is CTRL + ^ then U

etc,

Got it Shadey! It was the release that fooled me. Thanks.

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I use Word 97, but there shouldn't be big differences.
Maybe what I'm suggesting is stupid, but have you tried inserting a symbol ? You can choose any character there, not only accented ones. For instance, to put a 'ñ' in Buñuel ;)
