lol. The reason that happened in Thailand, is because they are one of the biggest buyers of PCs in Asia, and they have one of the biggest pirating rings in the world.
In order for Micronuts to make any money, they gotta sell as cheap as they can there to try and encourage people to use legit software.
I can't see it happening in North America, most of Europe, Japan, or Australia... because they uphold the law about 1000 times more than Thailand when it comes to piracy. It's possible countries like Philippines and Malaysia might get the same deal sometime soon, but that all depends on how many linux machines people there will buy lol.
