menumodder does not disable buttons on my dvd player? but does in powerdvd?!

Hello,

great application you have here, and I was trying to use menu modder to disable some buttons but i'm having an issue

When i disable the button on a dvd menu, (by right clicking), then i SAVE, then process the DVD, and load it up in a powerDVD it works fine. I can't click on the button (or at least when i do, it doesn't do anything)

but then when I go and burn the actual DVD, and try the same thing on my actual DVD player unit in my living room, it doesn't work. It allows me to click on the button!

what am I doing wrong?

Hi and welcome to the forums

you may have to make sure you are disabling all groups of the buttons. Check your preferences (the cog wheels icon) and make sure the Link Buttons option is selected

does it have more than one group of red blocks showing when you load the file?

it sounds like your DVD player may be playing another aspect ration set of buttons so that's why it's still working on there and not on PowerDVD

hmm i will try that and let you know. What exactly do you mean by "more than one group"?

I see 4 blue bar
1. chapter
2. audio
3. bonus
4. play

i was trying to disable "bonus" and there was only 1 rectangle around it ... does that help explain what i'm trying to do?

the icons along the bottom of the program will tell you whether it has 1 or more groups (hovering over an icon with the mouse will tell you what it is). The groups are usually the same buttons but different aspect ratios

it's the 10th,11th and 12th ones starting from the left as shown in pic. This example only has 1 group so it only highlights the 10th icon
