Menu Text Editting...is it possible?

Do you have any idea if there is a program that lets you edit text/ words from the menu option? I want to erase "Play Movie" from the screen and add a different word. Is there such a program that lets you do that?
Thanks,

I think Menuedit now has features that may allow you to do this though I'm not 100% sure

is it a motion or static menu?

there is the longer manual way which would be to export the bitmap (if it's a static image) and then modify it, create the .m2v file and remux it back into the VOB using Ifoedit :). If it's a motion menu you would have to export all frames as bitmaps and then make the .m2v file and remux into the VOB

I'm not sure if the manual methods would affect the buttons though as tehy are contained within the VOB's. I'm just suggesting this of the top of my head

looking at ME's features maybe you can import the image using the manual methods above (if you can't import with ME) as you can save/load buttons in version 2.3 :)

I have the reg version 2.3.0 of MenuEdit and as far as I can see you can't enter or delete texts/ words from a motion menu. don't know about a static coz I'm not working on one of them right now. :D

let me know how it goes ;)

like I suggested with motion menu's, you could export the buttons. Export each frame as a bitmap using a program that does it for you (DVD2AVI, VOBEDIT, VOBRator?), modify the bitmaps and then recreate the VOB using a DVD editing software (demuxing the new m2v after) or create the m2v direct using software, whichever is easier. Remux this new modified m2v into the menu VOB using Ifoedit and then import the buttons again

it will probbaly all depend how the text is in the bitmaps and whether the motion is going on behind the text as editing the bitmaps may be impossible

it sounds possible in theory but I don't know if it would work or if it would be worth the hassle :)

I think delete the buttons is the way to go for now. From what ur saying is a bit much for me! lol :p

Thanks anyways!

If MenuEdit now lets you add buttons as well as delete buttons, I would think you could delete the "Play Movie" button and create a new one with the label that makes you happy. You would have to assign the appropriate command for that button which shouldn't be complicated.

Hi

I think the actual 'play movie' will be within the background image (which can be static or motion) and not the actual button itself

the actual button is an overlay of the background image that highlights and overlays the image behind

I guess it may be possible to do what Aus-RED-5 requires but personally I wouldn't go to the lengths it requires for a motion menu and take the easy option too :)

cheers
