Menu errors?

I have removed the extras. Only wanted to keep the movie with the menu.

When I test the dvd some buttons in the menu work well. They return back to the menu.

However there are two buttons that stay in an constant black screen loop. And one button exits the movie completely.

I have tried to process the movie in instantcopy, this hangs the computer. Have tried it in dvdshrink, which comes with an error, because of there is something not right with the presented dvd.
Finaly I have tried it with clone dvd, which gives me again an error that there is something incorrect in an ifo file.

What is going wrong here?

Update:

I did it again, but this time i removed only the parts in which the menu did not loop/exit the movie.

Still it is not possible to compress the movie with instantcopy, dvdshrink, clonedvd. :(

This program is not working for me yet.

Update2:

I have tried it with another dvd. There everything goes the way I hoped it would go.

Perhaps the thing is that it works with some and not with some others.

I'm having some problems too.

X-files season4 disc 1. I removed the few extras and the fbi warnings. Then sent it through dvdshrink and burned using imgtool. Will not play on my computer or standalone. WinDVD just freezes.

Prior to this I've had no problems.

I think the tool is going to run into a lot of these problems on a disc by disc basis.

That's where the undo button comes into play :)
Trial and error has also shown me that when on some FOX titles I remove the Parental Prohibition screen, the DVD hangs. Undo, restore and everything is cool. Menus are vey tricky sometimes.

I spent the weekend on a similar situation, with MX overseeing me by way of AIM, and the final verdict was:
My standalone player is indeed, WAY too fussy. Probably firmware update needed. Since then, I tested the problem disc on Sony, Toshiba, JVC and Panasonic top of the line players (fussy, fussy, fussy) and they all play it without a problem. Of course,. Korean players play it OK. Anyone want to buy a Philips 743????

I guess that sometimes it is down to the individual player

I have a cheapy Dansia 1010 standalone here which is the same model as the one I bought for my mother a week later and it even came from the same store. A few of my friends also have the same model as I recommended it to them seeing as it played everything

at first it did play everything I threw at it yet after just one month it starting refusing discs and now refuses to play most of my DVD-R's that I know should play :(

the same discs still play on my mother's and friends player with no problems at all so it was pretty obvious my player has basically gone faulty

I cannot return it though as it still plays originals just fine!
