memory stick problem

Can anybody tell me how to recover the full memory on my memory stick . It suddenly thinks its a floppy disk with the same capacity of a floppy.

quite possibly its broken/damaged in some way ?!

have you tried it in the other memory slot ?! or on its own !? try a quick bit of troubleshooting like this and let us know

Indeed! A friend of mine had the same problem barry. He had some corrupt files that Windows would not see at all, but limited the memory stick to 30% of it's capacity. We moved off his critical files, then reformatted, and it was back to full capacity. He hasn't had a problem since.

How do you reformat . I do not have the original cd I am away from home

How do you reformat.

like usual HDDs, in NT/W2k/XP go into Windows' Drive Management, delete all contained partitions at the stick and format the whole space in FAT32;

if you are using it in a camcorder, there should be a format option in the camcorder menu
