Media to Media Burning

I have some crap Media Starlogic 1x Brand and I need to put them over on better media.

Question is
All of my starlogic disks scramble up on my dvd players at some point, Is it possible to rip my movie off the starlogic disk and put to some better media?

Or is that scramble that I get viewing my dvd permanent on the disk, or is it the DVD player not picking it up very well? Because I would really not want to go through all the pain again starting over, shrinking them etc. etc. I just want to know if I can do a straight rip from the crap disks then burn to better media?

Do the disks play fine on the computer?
If so, then it's the player(s) that have a problem.
Rip the disks with dvddecrypter or dvdshrink and reburn.
If they don't even play properly on your computer, then the actual burns are bad, and there's nothing you can do.

is it possible to test them in a friends or a family members player ?! just to check !?

other than that as reboot suggested test in the computer if they play fine in there then you may be in with a chance of re copying the data from the disk to your hard disk and onto new media using the above suggested programs :)

you can try scanning the discs with media scanning tools, such as dvdinfopro or nero cd/dvd speed, to see if any part of the discs are unreadable. however, i'm pretty sure the dvd decrypter will let you know if it has any problems reading the discs if you choose to rip with that.

Rip the worst one with your DVD BURNER (with DVD Decrypter All Files) <> Re make with Shrink/DVD2One or whatever <> reburn to Ritek G04 media <> try it & if its OK then the rest should be.
Even if they dont play properly on your PC they could be recoverable but its unlikely <> but u will never know until U try!;)
