There is a new submenu at "File/Open CD-ROM" which lists all currently available audio (2k/xp only) and (s)vcd cds in the drives. Basically, it is just a shurtcut for adding trackxx.cda and avseqxx.dat/mpg on the playlist more easily.
Favorites menu is back from wmp64, it can even record the playback position for files and dvds.
If you don't like the logo, you can replace it with another at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\Media Player Classic\Settings\LogoFile = drive:\fullpath\imagefilename.ext" (only under winxp or better). To disable the logo, just enter any invalid file name, except an empty one (this works with earlier windows versions

Shift+Left/Right will jump to keyframes when .avi is loaded.
Faster DVD stream positioning. This modification also fixes sound problems with ReClock.
Finally traced down the problem with the old divx311 encoded avi files. They were opening as an audio-only file because the WM ASF Reader loaded them without reporting any error. Was it confusing divx311 with msmpeg4? But why was it loading it from an avi container? Wiered...
The toolbars in auto-hiding mode were not always responding to the mouse position correctly, this one is fixed now.
The audio switcher became compatible with splitters not creating a separate thread for each of their streams. This problem affected the mpeg splitters mainly.
Right-click context menu for the playlist (open/remove/copypathtoclicpboard).
A little tool for mIRC. You can ask a few parameters of the opened file with it.
