There is some new options for people who use it for a movies over tvout and audio(spdif)output..Its getting better and better...Thanks for news.. :)

It cant be that good I have the program.. But it dont like my xvid/divx movies....
Plays mp3, wav, ogg, wma, mpg, etc....

What it does is when I double click on a movie it load up the movie shows the starting of the movie frozen but the play button is on play... At the bottom on the satus bar it says opening.....

Weird... What could possibly be the problem...

Im using fb for audio and mpc for video..No problems at all for any content or any kind of files.. :)

Have you tried playing with the internal filters or the playback output options ?
Also you might wanna try out ffdshow -
http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/. Its a multipurpose codec that has (imo) better quality and lower cpu use than both xvid and divx. Its a killer compination with mpc.
The best build(and stable, imo) is the 20030424.

ffdshow never worked on my system. Would cause video/audio to stutter in PowerDVD and would crash BSPlayer straightaway. Checked the avi/mtk file with GSpot and the system was using both the ffdshow splitter and then the divx,mpg (...whatever the movie was originally encoded in) splitter. Had a look around and saw on some forums that peeps were recommending ffdshow not be installed and saw no point in having a movie decoded twice, uninstalled ffdshow and had no problems since.

I need it simple steps on how to get this media player classic to work with my xvid/divx movies... I love the Media player simple and low resource eater...

Uninstall all codec packs,all versions of divx and xvid,install a newer divx version 5.xxx and a latest stable xvid by koepi..It works perfect on mu system..Divx versiojn 5 can play all divx..3 and 4 version too...

Koepi's latest stable is over 1 year old now. I would suggest either his latest 1.0beta or the one I posted, which should be faster and has several bug fixes/features which weren't included in beta3.

As for ffdshow loading twice, it should only do that if you have it enabled for RAW video.
