Hi there,

I am getting a very strange error when trying to copy a folder with 625Mb data using Nero 5.5.90 and my TEAC CDW-540E in a External CDRW enclosure with USB 2.0 interface.

: Could not perform Fixation

: Why does this happen??? My computer is a Pentium 4 1.6GMhz with 512MB RAM under Windows XP Pro with ASUS P4B533-E Motherboard.

I never get this error when I use my TEAC 40X burner internally.

Please help !

check if your media you are using is compatible with 20x writing speed.try lower speed.i had the same problem with my plextor and worked

Thanks for all your inout and I am using onboard USB 2.0 ports and the media is good for 24X, so theoretically 20X should be fine.

Any idea ??

The drivers you are using might be the reason of your problems I had the same problem with a scsi burner and solved it updating aspi drivers.
