making movies

Its been a ready long time for me so my memory is pretty blank. I download movies and want to copy them onto a dvd disc and use nero. I cant seem to get it to work for me though. If someone out there can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks!!

what format is the movie !? AVI either XVID , DIVX? Mpeg ? Mpeg 2 ? Rm ? Wmv ?!

It starts out as an AVI.

for a first time attempt you could try VSO DIVX TO dvd read about it here

ummmmmmmmmmm the film machine using cce

or XOOM DIVX2 dvd unfortunatly i cannot find it on x-ooms website but its available from AMAZON if you search for xoom

Winavi,xoom,dvdsanta ..and few more are kind of same solid quality..
For maximum quality if its needed(for average quality source)you have to go with cce as encoder-its slower but better
