ltr48246s & ccd comp. list.

The lite-on model ltr 48246s doesn't seem to appear at the clonecd supported drives list. Some other models (if not all) above & below this drive happen to appear w/ full soft support. Is this list out ot date? Or is this drive excluded from the list for some reason?

The LTR-48125W is listed and there is no real functional difference between the S and W models. So you know, the difference is in the pickup head (they are from different manufacturers).

So use the W model listed here and you'll be fine.

Model 48125s (48x-12x chipset 5s) is listed, but what about 48246s (48x-24x chipset 6s). Both are diferent chipsets.

model 48246s most likely can be compared to 52246s, but that's about it.

You have the LTR-48246S with the MediaTek 6 chip and not the LTR-48125W with the MediaTek 5 chipset. However the S and W distinction is still correct (it comes from LiteOn BTW ).

Now to your problem.....yes, since you have the 6 chipset it should be comparable to the LTR-52246S. But just because it is not listed, does not mean it will not work.

Since all the recent (since 32x at least) have been tested and have the same results..... RAW-DAO 96, 2x sheep rating on Buffer-Underrun Technology & Correct EFM-Encoding, RAW+96 as best Read and Audio modes..... it should work with full software support.

Have you tried it? Personally, I think Ollie just needs to update his list

I have a 48126s and flashed it to a 48246s and then to a 52246s.

All three were working fine with clonecd !!
