Loooong filenames - which program??

Anybody know which program can burn data CDs with filenames up to about 140 or 150 characters?

Nero, WinONCD, CDRWin, all cut them off. Blind Write, Clone, etc are only for full CD copies. A friend wants to back his mp3s with info in the filenames like:

Various Artists - O Brother, Where Art Thou_ Soundtrack - 10 - Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss And Gillian Welch _ Didn't Leave Nobody But The Baby.mp3

and all of them that I've tried won't do it.

Any ideas?

TIA

have u tried using NTI cd maker using the ROMEO Format !?
im sure with a little editing say soundtrack to OST which is commonly used by most file share clients etc to distinguish an Original Sound Track saves 7 letters each space is classed as a letter/character so i count at least 12 spaces that could be removed substitute the word and for the & symbol to gain 2 more letters and removing the word artists and just having various in there without it saves another 7 letters making a total saving of 28 letters/characters .....

making the title this >

Various-O Brother,Where Art Thou_Soundtrack-10-Emmylou Harris,Alison Krauss & Gillian Welch_Didn't Leave Nobody But The Baby.mp3

approx 128 characters :) may of misscounted here but anyhow you could also loose the ' in didn't to gain 1 more letter and the two spaces either side of the & to gain 2 more :)

yes a pain in the ass to edit but you cant win em all i spose !?

there may be other tools out there that allow more characters but i find NTI does me great :)

Thanks VIPER_1069 and roadworker for the answers. I've never used CDMate and it's been ages since I looked at NTI. I'll give it a whirl. Much appreciated!

Cheers,

All Veritas (Prassi) based programs, like Click'N Burn, RecordNow MAX
and Sony CD Extreme, support names up to around 110 chars under Joliet.
(These programs also have "ISO Level 2 long" which support names up to
212 chars.)

NTI CD Maker and CDRWin support names around 110 chars under Joliet.

(Note: The above may depend on directory depth and length of pathnames.)

So it would seem, if your target supports it, ISO Level 2 LONG may be the way to go.
