looking for program to help collate printjobs

hi,

i have these books that are in pdf format, and they r broken down each file per chapter, and there r LOTS of chapters!

I 'd like to print them on both sides but it's a real pain to print each chapter on 1 side and then print the other side; it gets to be a real drag; i wonder if there's any software out there that will collate and help automate this as much as possible?

i have a laserjet 4500.

thanks.

The only solution I can think of, if it is not a dupkex unit on it , is to use a program like fineprint or another program that can print more pages (after your definition) on one size.

Or you can of course print side 1-3-5-7.... turn around the sheets and then print 2-4-6-8

That's exactly what i have been doing; i batch printed all the files with even pages first, and then flip them and then print all odd pages; the only thing that sucks is that if the consecutive chapters are not even, then i'd have to print each chapter at a time or else the order will mess up.

This printer does come with an accessory duplex tray, but i didnt buy that so i dont know if there's a way around it as a short cut :(

Sorry ubamous3, I have been at hp`s site. It is a nice printer. As far as I can see there is no way around, if you dont choose to print more pages on one side....

thanks svgusta for checking it out for me :)

i was afraid of that answer 'cause from the way the pdf files are setup with what i was trying to do, i dont think there 'd be any programs that'd do what i wanted it to do :(
